Welcome to St. Andrew and St Francis CE Primary School admissions page.
Should you wish to apply for a school place for your child there are a number of options dependant on your child's age and the year you are applying for. If you are applying for:
- Nursery School - please follow the link above (September following the child's 3rd birthday)
- Reception applying to start in Reception September 2024 (September following the child's 4th birthday) - Apply online through the eAdmissions website
- In-Year admission to any year group in the school (outside of the Reception PAN London Application for September.)
All in year applications for places in St Andrew and St Francis CE Primary School must be made directly to the school office using the School Application form. These forms are also available from the School Office.
If you are applying for a place in Reception 2024 in the PAN London Reception intake for St Andrew and St Francis - you must Apply online through the EAdmissions website).
If you are applying under criterion 1 or 2, you must upload any supporting documents to the PAN London e-admissions website along with your completed application prior to the deadline.
If you are applying under criterion 5.1 or 5.2 (Christian faith), you must ask your parish priest/minister to sign the Supplementary information form and return to the school directly prior to the deadline.
Prospective parents and pupils are welcome to visit the school by appointment made with the School Office.
The Governing Body is responsible for admissions into the school. Should there be more applications than places available the Governors will follow the Schools Admissions Criteria.
Admissions –Nursery School (3/4 year old)
Application are made directly to the School Office
The Nursery School at St. Andrew and St Francis CE Primary School has 56 places for part time children or 28 full time places. Part time places are free (15 hours per week) or full time places are free for qualifying families or charged at the same rate of LA funding (There are limited fulltime places available for families that qualify for the government 30 hour code and/or parents can pay for the 15 hour extra hours)
-AM sessions run from 8.45am -11.45am
-PM sessions run from 12.45pm – 3.45pm.
Parents should note that SASF Nursery is a separate provision to the school and families will need to apply to for a Reception place in the school for the following year. These applications for Reception class are made via the PAN London EAdmissions.
An induction meeting for entry into the Nursery class is held each Summer Term prior to the September the child starts in order that the children and parents can meet the class teacher and the Nursery teaching assistant.
Details of the staggered entry system into the Nursery year will be made available to parents prior to their start date.
Admissions – Reception
There are 60 Reception places at St. Andrew and St Francis CE Primary School. Each class is staffed with a Class Teacher and a Teaching Assistant.
Children admitted to Reception start school in the Autumn Term following their 4th birthday in a staggered intake system for the first week.
An induction meeting for entry into the Reception class is held each Summer Term prior to the September start date in order that the children and parents can meet the class teacher and the Reception teaching assistant.
Details of the staggered entry system into the Reception year will be made available to parents prior to their start date.
The admissions panel reserves the right not to consider applications which are submitted after the specified deadline set by Pan London- EAdmissions.
Admissions – Whole School and In Year Transfers
Enquiries regarding the availability of places further up the school should be made to the School. As with all in year admissions, applications for places in St. Andrews and St Francis CE Primary School must be made on the School Application form. These forms are available from the School Office.
A waiting list will be in operation for all year groups and will be ranked according to the Schools Admissions Criteria should there be more applications than spaces available.
When a place becomes available, families will be contacted by the school office.
If your child is placed on the waiting list, parents will receive a letter acknowledging their application and details of where their child is on the waiting list. At the end of the academic year, parents will be contacted via letter to confirm if they would like to remain on the school waiting list for the new academic year.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE
Parent(s) must produce the following documentary evidence to support the application:
- Proof of Address of Parent/Legal Guardian.
- Birth Certificate OR Passport belonging to the child.
- For criteria 1 & 2 - supporting medical and social documents must be provided
- For criteria 5.1 & 5.2 - a completed Supplementary information form (duly completed and signed in his own hand by the parish priest, minister or overseeing pastor) which confirms the parent's commitment to and regular involvement (at least fortnightly and for more than a year) in worship at their church.
Parents are advised to ensure the Supplementary information form is returned to the school office.
In order to be considered for a place at the school parents must complete the School Application form. This should be returned to the School Office.
