Bookstart Story and Rhyme Times for Under 5s (Term Time Only)

-Ealing Road Library Thursdays 11.00-11.30am

-Harlesden Library Thursday 11.00 – 11.30am

-Kingsbury Library Wednesdays 10.45 – 11.15am

Maths on Toast (Monthly) Saturday 19th February 11:30am - 12:30pm  Online

We are offering our Maths on Toast sessions both online via Zoom and in person at Ealing Road Library. Choose which session suits you best. You will need to provide your own craft materials if you join us online. The list of materials required is below.

If you could give the day a colour, what would it be? Perhaps it would be a rainbow of activities. This session is all about having fun with data so why not join us to create a paper spinner to discover the colour of YOUR day!

What you’ll need:       

•       Some paper/card

•       Scissors 

•       Pencil

•       Template or a circle to draw around

•       Coloured pens/pencils

STEM - Make a brain hat

Wednesday 23 February 4.00 - 5.00pm Ealing Road Library

Make your very own brain hat to help you see what the different parts of our brain look like.

Maths to the rescue

Wednesdays 4.00 – 6.00pm Kingsbury Library Term Time Only

Family learning KS1 and KS2 drop in parents must stay with their children. Parents and children – improve your Maths skills together.

 

Telling Tales - Where Imaginations Come To Life! Every Saturday from February 26 until April 2.

A Free 6-week course for children aged 7-11

Calling all 7-11 year olds to join our FREE six-week programme. You will develop, create and perform stories and poems with author, poet and rap artist BREIS. This event forms part of the Spine Festival 2022 of arts, literature and culture for children funded by Arts Council England.

 

Children will need to attend for all the 6 dates. Places are limited, those that apply first will be successful.

 

 

 

At the end of the six weeks, there will be a live performance for friends and families to come along and see. The sessions will be in Kingsbury Library.

 

Throughout the project, the young people will work towards a Discover Arts Award. (www.artsaward.org.uk)

Joining Brent Libraries

To join Brent Libraries and borrow our e-books you can do this at https://www.brent.gov.uk/services-for-residents/libraries/joining-a-library/

To borrow books with your card download the Libby App and you will find a great selection to choose from.

 

If you have a library card and can’t remember the number or PIN code please email libraries@brent.gov.uk with the name of the card holder, the postcode of the card holder and the date of birth of the card holder.

 

If you haven’t used your library card for 2 years it will no longer be valid and you will need to join again. Joining a library is free and there is no charge to use the e-library.
